Construction Permit Clerk
Responsible for receiving and processing plans that are submitted for permitting. Once processing is successfully completed, will issue construction permits. Will assist customers and answer phone calls related to all facets of the work performed in Development Services; assists in the processing of plans, and works closely with the Building Inspectors, Building Official, Deputy Director, and Director and assists them in their daily duties. Ability to maintain an effective working relationship with other employees, supervisors, City Officials, and the public. Must have good communication and people skills. Work Authorization/Security Clearance: The employee must successfully pass a background screening process and comply with the City's Drug-Free Workplace policy. The City will also verify the identity and employment authorization of individuals hired so the proper completion of Form I-9 is required, which includes the employee providing documents evidencing identity and employment authorization.
